Learning Event: an Introduction to Community Brokerage

Support Choices is delighted to be hosting a free online Community Learning Event delivered by Anne-Marie Monaghan from the Community Brokerage Network who will be joined by a local authority SDS lead.

The Community Brokerage Network has been highlighted in a number of formal documents as a model of excellent practice in independent support. We are delighted to have them share their work with us as there has been significant interest in this model as part of innovative delivery.

The session will be an introduction to the community model of brokerage and how it works in practice within the Ayrshires and how they have influenced the work of others further afield. There will be a focus on collaborative working with Health and Social Care Partnerships explaining what has been important in that relationship. There will also be the opportunity to discuss the SQA Broker qualification which is the only one in Scotland.

We are inviting local authorities, 3rd sector organisations and anyone interested in health and social care delivery to join. As a live online event, there will be the opportunity to ask questions and make connections.

The event takes place on Tuesday 6 April at 2.30pm to 4.30pm and bookings can be made through Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/introduction-to-community-brokerage-tickets-144206650975

A link to the session will be provided to all attendees in the week prior to the event. If you have not received a link by Friday 2 April, please contact Holli on 07925 635590.
